WHERE it started

Farago Fabrication was founded by Leon Farago in 2018, shortly after graduating in 3D Design from Northumbria University.

Growing up in a creative family, Leon has always had a natural interest in making, designing and understanding of how things are put together. That curiosity has stayed at the heart of his work ever since. Alongside his own practice, Leon has worked with a wide range of respected companies within metalwork, design and specialist manufacturing, including Marston Engineering, Novocastrian, Nocturn Workshop, WYLK Creative and Simon Isles Coachbuilding.

Each experience has helped shape the way he works today, building a broad range of skills while continuing to learn, experiment and develop his craft.

Farago Fabrication brings together traditional making skills, creative problem solving and a genuine love of working with metal. Every project is approached as something unique, with care, attention to detail and a focus on producing work that is both beautifully made and built to last.

For Leon, the most enjoyable part of the job is taking an idea, however simple or ambitious, and working out how to bring it to life.

how we work:

Farago Fabrication specialises in bespoke metalwork for artists, designers, galleries, museums and creative studios. Every project is approached with a balance of technical precision, material understanding and sensitivity to the original design intent.

We work collaboratively from the earliest stages of an idea through to final production, helping to resolve details, develop practical solutions and translate creative concepts into beautifully made objects and installations.

Our background in art and design gives us a strong understanding of proportion, finish, material and form. We know that the success of a piece often lies in the smallest details, and we take care to ensure that each element is considered, resolved and executed to a high standard.

Projects can begin in many different ways. Some arrive as detailed CAD drawings or renderings, while others start with a sketch, reference image, model or simply a conversation. A fully resolved technical drawing is never a requirement.

Our role is to bring the knowledge, craftsmanship and problem-solving needed to help realise each idea faithfully, while ensuring the finished piece is both technically sound and beautifully executed.
